Applied Technology Solutions, Inc. (ATS) was founded in 2022 in Huntsville, AL. ATS is an engineering services company that operates primarily in a Government contractor role.
We currently focus in hypersonic environments, modeling and simulation, ground test facility development, test execution, and high temperature material development. We take pride in what we do, and we understand the importance of our work to national priorities. We solve highly technical problems that matter to our nation and its allies. The Hypersonic Environments team delivers advanced, mission-ready solutions to address the Nation’s most critical challenges in hypersonic thermal protection system design, analysis, and experimental testing. Our work supports the full lifecycle of hypersonic programs, enabling reliable performance in extreme thermal and aerodynamic environments through rigorous engineering and validation.
Our core capability is centered on high temperature thermal characterization and end-to-end TPS weather performance characterization, combined with comprehensive, end-to-end weather and performance capability modeling. We provide ground test qualification and analytical support spanning new system CONOPS development through flight test execution, including mission-critical Go/No Go launch criteria to ensure operational readiness and mission success.
We develop advanced material solutions for energy, defense, and aerospace applications, with a strong focus on high-temperature materials and high-performance composite systems. Our work supports demanding operational environments, delivering materials engineered for durability, thermal stability, and structural performance under extreme conditions.
Our capabilities include rapid prototyping and development of material processing systems, along with comprehensive material characterization using mechanical testing, chemical analysis, and advanced microscopy techniques. We perform thorough material evaluation and selection to meet mission-specific requirements and conduct detailed failure analysis to inform design improvements, validate performance, and ensure long-term reliability.
